Lynette's Message at the Luncheon:
The Seven Last Words of Mary
I cannot think of a better legacy left for women in ministry than the one Mary, the mother of Jesus, left us. Can you imagine having The Messiah grow up in your own household and the profound impact that would have on you spiritually, emotionally, and on every aspect of your life? We see a glimpse of that impact at the wedding of Cana, when Mary’s first response to a need was, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Those 7 last recorded words, forged by years of daily interaction with Jesus Himself, can help bring us into the secret place of God’s continual presence in our own lives.
Lynette Scherber, B.M., M.S.T., has come from a background of violin performance, teaching music, pastoral ministry, overseas missions and Teen Challenge media. For the past 12 years she has worked with Teen Challenge to produce and distribute radio (and now television) testimonies which are airing on stations and networks around the country. Working with Christian artists and ministry leaders on behalf of Teen Challenge USA, her passion is to reach the addicted community with the liberating message of the gospel and to serve and assist Teen Challenge USA and local Teen Challenge centers across America in their media efforts. Lynette’s husband is the Executive Director of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge and they have two grown daughters.
